Tottenham Hotspur target Napoli ace

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a summer move for Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, in a bid to prepare for Champions League football.

The north London outfit currently stand within a chance of finishing the season within the top four in the Premier League and are eager to make some high-end transfers to reinforce their ranks.

According to the Daily Mirror, Lorenzo Insigne is on top of their list.

The Italian has shone this season, firing Napoli up to the top of the table, and as a result has caught the attention of Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino.

With the promise of extra funds, should he achieve Champions League qualification, Pochettino is ready to splash the cash and try his best to land the 24-year-old.

However, one major blow to the coach’s hopes comes as Napoli also look likely to finish within a spot for the prestigious competition.

The Partenopei will therefore unlikely be willing to sell one of their key players and fan favourites before going up against top European opposition.
