Tottenham trials for teenage Dutch keeper Nick Weegink

Tottenham have handed trials to 15-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Nick Weegink.

The Sun says Weegink trains at the Keepers School Regio Twente under former Twente player Michel Vuerink and will spend a week trying to impress coaches at White Hart Lane.

Former West Bromwich Albion and Ipswich Town midfielder Romeo Zondervan sent videos of the youngster to Premier League clubs which drew interest from a number of clubs.

And Spurs acted quickly to give Weegink a chance to earn himself a deal with the clubs youth team.

Weegink currently represents Dutch fourth-tier side ATC'65's youth team after spending a year-and-a-half with Twente's academy.
