DR Congo giants TP Mazembe have accepted to play Asante Kotoko in an exhibition to mark the 15th anniversary of Ashanti King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who is life patron of the Ghanaian club.

Two former Kotoko players-Yaw Frimpong and Daniel Nii Adjei-are in the books of the Ravens and will be delighted to make a return to the Baba Yara.

Details for the match remain sketchy.

“TP Mazembe have accepted the invitation,” TP Mazembe’s country representative Nana Oduro Sarfo told New Mercury FM.

“The club find it honoured to be invited from among all the big clubs in Africa by His majesty Otumfuo.”

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was installed Asantehene in 1999 after the death of Otumfuo Opoku Ware II.
