TP Mazembe President Moise Katumbi will be a special guest at the 50th anniversary of the Katanga Hall of the KNUST University, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Katumbi’s presence will be the first step towards a healthy collaboration between the university hall and the mining firm of the Katanga Province Govenor.

Katumbi has expressed interest to develop the infrastructure of the Hall whose name is historically linked to have been drawn from the DRC province of which the billionaire heads.

An official invitation will be sent to the TP Mazembe President through its West African Representative Nana Oduro-Sarfo for the climactic event of the anniversary which will be held in March next year.

The 47-year-old who has been President of the four-time African champions for 30-years has been attracted by the warmth and unique reception of Ghanians since his visit with his football club to play Berekum Chelsea in the CAF Champions League match back in September.

TP Mazembe have already signed four Ghanaian players with a hint of further player acquisitions and other collaborations with Ghanaian clubs.
