TP Mazembe are unable to travel to Ghana to play in a friendly match to mark the 15th year anniversary of Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
The Congolese giants were billed to play Asante Kotoko as part of events to commemorate the 15-year reign of the Ashanti King.
The club has however written to organizers of the friendly match to seek postponement of the planned date for the game due to a clash with their domestic fixtures.
TP Mazembeââ¬â¢s inability to travel to Ghana on the scheduled date has thrown the entire organization of the one-off game into great doubt.
ââ¬ÅChances are that the match will not come on as earlier scheduled,â⬠a member of the planning committee Sometymer Otuo Acheampong told Happy FM.
ââ¬ÅWe had planned to have TP Mazembe take on Kotoko but they have written to inform us of the change in their domestic fixtures.
ââ¬ÅTheir league was suspended but all of the sudden they have recalled their domestic league.
ââ¬ÅSo their arrival in Ghana has been put in great doubt and there are no plans for now to have any replacements.
"And there is also nothing we can do about the scheduled date."
