Right-back Yaw Frimpong wants to make the most of his late Black Stars call-up for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The TP Mazembe player received a late invitation to replace injured Daniel Opare for the matches against Uganda and Togo next month.

The 27-year-old’s recent call-up was in March last year when he was named in the 24-man squad which was played Sudan in Kumasi in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Frimpong hopes to seal a permanent place in the team ahead of the 2015 AFCON finals in Morocco.

“I am excited but determined to make my impact felt. I will do my very best if called upon at any time for my nation,” the former Asante Kotoko player exclusively told GHANASoccerenet.com.

Frimpong has been in top form and helped his side reach the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
