TP Mazembe winger Solomon Asante turns attention to CAF Champions league football after helping Ghana defeat Rwanda

Ghana and TP Mazembi winger Solomon Asante says his attention is now switched towards helping his club reach the CAF Champions League final after playing in Ghana’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda.

Asante, who played a key role in Ghana’s victory over Rwanda in Kigali is already back with his club in Congo.

The diminutive schemer is a subject of transfer speculations with teams across Africa and Europe showing genuine interest in him.

But his side Mazembi  is looking to win the CAF Champions league and would take on Moghreb Tetouan this weekend.

Asante says the focus is already switched toward playing in the Champions League.

“I think it was important that we played and won in Kigali but that is in the past now,” Asante told Citi-Sports

“My attention is now towards the CAF Champions League game we have and my aim is help us reach our target this season.”
