Ghanaian Premier League title winner AshantiGold have confirmed they have advanced in talks with New Edubiase United to sign twin brother Alhassan Nuhu and Fuseini Nuhu.

The Elephants are beefing up their squad of the start of the Ghana Premier League season next month and for CAF Champions League campaign next season.

Fuseini (forward) and Alhassan (central midfield) bagged 17 goals for nearly-relegated Edubiase in the Ghana Premier League last season with Fuseini hitting 13 of them.

The Obuasi-based have confirmed they have close to completing signing of the pair.

"We're close to signing a number of players. Some of them have completed medicals including the Nuhu brothers from New Edubiase. We will officially announce their signing once it is confirmed," AshantiGold spokesperson Kofi Yawson told Accra-based Happy FM.

AshantiGold wrested the Ghana Premier League title from regional rivals Asante Kotoko after winning at the end of last season.
