Thibaut Courtois to Juventus

The Serie A champions have joined the race for the Belgian keeper, viewing him as the ideal long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon. Courtois' contract runs out in 2019 and he has stalled on signing a new deal amid Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid rumours. Now that Juventus are interested, too, it may complicate matters for Chelsea. Both Madrid and Juventus are said to be monitoring the keeper's situation closely. He reportedly wants £210,000-a-week before he puts pen to paper on a new deal at Stamford Bridge. With Buffon expected to retire in the summer, Juventus may look to capitalise on Courtois' uncertain future in London.

Marouane Fellaini to Paris Saint-Germain

PSG have emerged as surprise frontrunners in the race to sign the Manchester United midfielder. Fellaini is out of contract in the summer and has emerged as a top target for the Ligue 1 side, with coach Unai Emery prioritising the signing of a defensive midfielder. Le10Sport claims PSG are readying a lucrative four-year deal which could be enough to lure the Belgian away from Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to keep Fellaini but the lack of progress in contract negotiations over the past number of weeks may suggest that the former Everton man is headed for the exit door.

Yohan Benalouane to Inter Milan

The out-of-favour Leicester defender may be offered an escape route from the Premier League by the Italian side. Benalouane signed for the Foxes from Atalanta in 2015 but has only managed 15 Premier League appearances in nearly two-and-a-half seasons. He hasn't featured in the first-team this season and is expected to leave. However, the Nerazzurri are still eyeing the former France Under-21 international as a stopgap replacement for Zinho Vanheusden, who is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines following knee surgery. With Benalouane not figuring in Claude Puel's plans, Inter will pounce for a cut-price deal in January.

Harry Arter to Crystal Palace

Relegation-threatened Palace are ready to go head-to-head with fellow strugglers West Ham in a race to sign the Republic of Ireland international from Bournemouth. Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is determined to bolster his ranks in January and has been keeping close tabs on Arter, 27, who signed a new four-year contract with the Cherries in June. However, Palace and the Hammers are ready to test his long-term commitment with attractive offers. While there is no suggestion that Arter is angling for a move away from the Vitality Stadium, that will not stop Bournemouth's Premier League rivals from pursuing a deal.

Aymeric Laporte to Real Madrid

Real are keen to sign highly rated Athletic Bilbao defender Laporte, who is also a Barcelona target. Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is keen to sign a proven centre-half as competition for Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos. The skipper will be 32 in March and while he has not shown any signs of decline yet, Madrid are keen to edge Barcelona and snap up his long-term replacement. Laporte is considered to be one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, having previously attracted interest from both Manchester clubs too.
