Gunners may be made to bide their time for Auba

Borussia Dortmund could make Arsenal wait until the summer before they can sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Mirror.

It reports that BVB will put an Aubameyang deal on ice unless the Gunners agree to include Olivier Giroud as part of an exchange this month.

The Mirror says Dortmund "want £60 million for Aubameyang but have told Arsenal they must get a replacement -- and France international Giroud is their No. 1 choice."

The Bundesliga giants, it adds, see Giroud as being a player who can bring them the necessary goals if Aubameyang departs.

Arsenal officials are in Dortmund to try to conclude a deal, and the Mirror adds that boss Arsene Wenger "has not ruled out the possibility" of Giroud moving on.

Meanwhile, newly-confirmed Arsenal arrival Henrikh Mkhitaryan sparked a social media storm when, on a video of his first day at the club, he appeared to offer an invitation to Aubameyang.

Reports said he could be seen mouthing: "Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?" before the video was taken down.
