Sturridge sets sights on Sevilla
Yesterday, reports suggested Daniel Sturridge could be on his way to Italy -- but now the Mirror says he has told Liverpool he wants to join Sevilla.
Sturridge's time at Anfield has been disrupted by injuries but he has been fit for most of this season and wants regular football so he can stake a claim for a place in England's World Cup squad.
The striker has been linked with AC Milan, Internazionale and Valencia, but Sevilla are the new front-runners and have seen a loan request turned down.
The Mirror reports that Liverpool "want a transfer fee of around £25 million but are prepared to write in a loan period with a guarantee of a payment in the summer."
And it adds that Sturridge "has urged Liverpool to open talks with Sevilla in an attempt to find an agreement."

New Stoke boss Paul Lambert wants to make sure Peter Crouch does not leave for Chelsea this month -- but the Independent reports that matters may not be in his hands.
Lambert, whose side beat Huddersfield in his first game in charge, has told the Blues 36-year-old Crouch is not for sale.
But the Independent says that, whatever Lambert may hope, "Crouch will be allowed to leave should Chelsea make Stoke an offer too good to refuse."
The Premier League champions are weighing up a move after injuries prevented them from trying to sign West Ham's Andy Carroll.
Schurrle in line for Premier League return
Andre Schurrle could be on his way back to the Premier League after Borussia Dortmund opted to make him available on loan, and the Mail says Newcastle and Stoke are in the frame.
Former Chelsea forward Schurrle has not been a regular for Dortmund of late, and the club are reportedly willing to allow him an 18-month loan deal.
BVB are likely to continue paying half the 27-year-old's £150,000-a-week wages, and both the Magpies and Stoke want to be the club that pays the other half.
Swans fail in Ayew bid
Swansea want to bring their former attacker Andre Ayew back to the Liberty Stadium but have seen an approach rebuffed by West Ham, the BBC reports.
The Hammers have said no to Swansea's bid for a player who cost them around £20m and in any case "may be reluctant to sell to a rival in the lower reaches of the league."
The Telegraph says Swansea "will have to break their transfer record to re-sign Ayew after a £14m offer was rejected."

- West Brom boss Alan Pardew wants more goals and thinks Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic could supply them, Sky Sports reports.
Pardew is keen on a Mitrovic move but Sky adds that it "is dependent on funds raised from the sale of defender Jonny Evans."
- Young Manchester City stars could go on loan to Bristol City because Etihad Stadium officials are impressed by the way Lee Johnson's team plays, says the Mirror.
City, who face the Championship club in the Carabao Cup, have often sent young players on overseas loans but feel Bristol could "prepare them for Pep Guardiola's football philosophy."
