Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have sent Ghana youth forward Maxwell Boadu Acosty to Serie B side Modena on a season-long loan spell, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. 

The 22-year-old rejoined La Viola after ending his loan spell at Serie B side Carpi but manager Vincenzo Montella has shown he has no plans for the attacker by sending him away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi to Stadio Alberto Braglia where he will spend the upcoming season.

Acosty did not enjoy a very flourishing loan spells last season as he abandoned his stint at Chievo Verona in January to join Carpi where he started just 3 games and played 12 times in general.

A Fiorentina statement confirms the move: “ACF Fiorentina announce that it has sold on a temporary basis the right of the player Maxwell Boadu Acosty (Class '91) to Modena FC,” a statement on Fiorentina’s official website read.

Acosty, a former of member of Ghana's U23 side, has experience from playing in the Serie B after playing for Juve Stabia and Carpi in previous seasons.
