Frank Sarfo Gyamfi will sign a short-term contract with Ghanaian champions Kotoko after terminating his contract with Mariztburg United.

The 20-year-old terminated his contract with the Team of Choice on Friday to end a three-year stay at the club.

The former All Stars winger was close to signing for the Porcupine Warriors in January but the deal fell through.

The ex-Ghana Under-20 star has now agreed to join the Kumasi-based side after holding talks with the club, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Gyamfi joined Maritzburg United in 2011 from Waa All Stars having impressed in the Ghana Premier League.

However he suffered from extensive spells on the sidelines with injury – ultimately limiting his first team opportunities at the South African club.

Gyamfi is now a free agent having severed all contractual ties with Maritzburg United – meaning he is eligible to join any club of his choice with the two-time African champions his preferred destination.
