Ghana international midfielder Prince Buaben has brightened his chances of winning a deal with Scottish giants Hearts of Midlothian after scoring in a pre-season warm-up friendly on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has been on trials with the Maroons since last week with manager Robbie Neilson expressing his interest in signing the free agent.

In his second pre-season warm-up game for Hearts, the former Ajax Amsterdam Academy graduate lightened up his chances of winning a deal at the club by scoring the opener in a 3-0 win over East Fife.

On 24 minutes, the pressure told and Hearts took the lead. Sow played a lovely ball through to Billy King, whose shot rebounded off the post straight to Prince Buaben, who netted into the open goal.

Buaben has had experience from playing in the Scottish top-flight after playing for Dundee United while his experience abroad include a spell with Watford.
