Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are locked in negotiations with captain Moro Abubakar over a new deal, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The 23-year-old is out of contract with the Phobians but has failed to agree terms with the capital club with several Arabian and European clubs interested.

While the former African champions are busy on the transfer market in a bid to bring in new and experienced legs, they have failed to reach an agreement with their captain over a new deal.

Moro, one of the gifted defensive midfielders on the Ghanaian scene, wants an improved deal while Hearts are pecked on their initial offer of $10,000.

Sudanese giants Al Merreikh as well as three Turkish second-tier sides are all interested in signing the midfielder.
