French Ligue 1 giantsÂ Saint-Etienne have dropped interest in signing Ghana World Cup striker Jordan Ayew after early reports linked him to the ten-time Ligue 1 title-winners.Â
Giants Olympique Marseille have confirmed the 22-year-old will not be part of their plans for the 2014/15 season putting numerous clubs are on the alert.
Saint-Etienne were one of the clubs linked with the striker who spent the second-half of last season at Sochaux on loan but in statement, the club have confirmed they will not sign the Ghana international.
â€œJordan Ayew and Algerian striker Aissa Mandi of Stade Reims will all not be signed this summer,â€ a Saint-Etienne communications person told La Provence.
Jordan has been linked with stellar clubs including German Bundesliga sides Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach.
