New Edubiase United are set to improve their finances after striking a deal with Turkish billionaire Bahrain Demirbilek who has acquired majority shares in the club.

The deal brokered by the club’s vice president Carl Wilson has not been disclosed.

But the Daily Graphic understands the new cash injection will not only provide respectable salaries for the players and technical staff, but also ensure quality healthcare and insurance packages to motivate the team to achieve laurels in domestic and international competitions.

"We have been experiencing serious financial challenges of late and it is not easy to play in a league without sponsorship. That’s why we decided to invite people to come on board to help, and it was my business dealings in Turkey that got me into contact with Mr Demirbilek who readily agreed to come on board,” Wilson explained

The Turkish business magnate had now acquired majority shares in the club is expected to watch New Edubiase‘s midweek fixture against Asante Kotoko at the Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday.
