Turkish giants Fenerbahce keen on signing Ghana star Andre Ayew

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are interested in signing Marseille's Ghanaian winger Andre Ayew.

A publication by Fanatik, Turkey biggest sports newspaper claims Fenerbahe will make an attempt to swoop for the Ghana international during the January transfer window.

Ayew is on the verge of hitting top form this season after a slow start to the season.

The 23-year-old's blistering header in Sunday's 1-0 win over St Etienne ensured Marseille finished joint top in the French Ligue 1 for the winter break.

Ayew was pegged back by a shoulder injury he picked up at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and later underwent surgery.

He has scored five goals in 18 appearances for Marseille in the French Ligue 1
