Turkish side Goztepe SK have entered the race to sign Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan from Chinese club Shanghai SIPG in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Gyan, 31, spent last season on loan at UAE side Al Ahli Dubai from Shanghai SIPG and went on to make 28 appearances, scoring eight goals to help the finish third.

But the former Sunderland striker is keen on moving from the Chinses outfit in the ongoing transfer window as his contract with the club will expire on June, 30th.

Bursaspor were the first Turkish club this summer who showed interest in the former Sunderland striker by making a 30,000 Euros a week bid for him a week ago but according to Turkish Sports Portal Sporx, Goztepe are also keen on Gyan and will be making an official offer in the coming days.

Gyan netted eight goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for Al Ahli last season and will be hoping to get back if he moves back to Europe.
