Turkish Super Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor has targeted Ghana World Cup defender Rashid Sumaila.

According to KickOff.com, Ryan Hartslief of BigTime Sports Management and Mario Atakligan from Sportic Players’ Agency have been working on it.

Sumaila, a centre-back, had a successful debut season for Mamelodi Sundowns where he made 22 appearances in their title winning campaign.

The 21-year-old has expressed his willingness to move abroad if the opportunity comes knocking.

Sundowns have already signed Mario Booysen as a back-up plan while Zambian defender Hichani Himoonde has returned to the club.
