U20 World Cup: Ghana goalie Daniel Agyei warns Black Satellites against complacency ahead of Panama final group game

Liberty Professional goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has warned Ghana’s Under-20 team to kick against complacency ahead of their final group game against Panama in the ongoing World Youth Championship.

The Black Satellites are top of group B after a nervy 3-2 win over tournament favourite Argentina on Tuesday.

The Ghanaians need at least a draw against lowly Panama to advance to the next stage of the competition.

And goalkeeper Daniel Agyei, who won the World Youth Championship in Egypt in 2009, has urged the team to eschew complacency ahead of the Panama tie.

“We won against Argentina and must take delight in that. But we cannot get complacent against Panama,” he said

“It’s going to be a tricky game and we must be ready for it. They (Panama) can also qualify if they beat us and that makes the situation not a jacket one.

“The team must maintain their focus and get the job done.”
