UCL/ MAN CITY v REAL MADRID - \"We have to stick together and stay focused\"

Published on: 25 April 2016

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane claimed to be really relaxed ahead of the first leg semifinal with Manchester City, the first one for him as a manager:

"We get here in a good moment of our season, we hope to do really well.

"Tomorrow we will try to score at least one goal withouth conceding anything, the tie is - as always -a 50/50.

"I am relaxed, I am living this situation really well, then you know that during the game I am a little more tense, but before and after I'm more relaxed, I just think in preparing the game at its best.

"Sometimes you prepare a match really well, but then it goes in an unexpected direction. We got two games, but we are just thinking in tomorrow's game. They will make it tough for us, and we know that.

"If we are well organized, even if we suffer we got weapons, we are a strong team.

"Manchester City are a very well organised team, very quick, if you leave them space they can hurt you, but if we get the ball we can create dangers. When you don't have th eball you have to defend, and they can hurt you.

"I brought the entire squad here because my idea is that we must stick all together, there some players that play less, but they are really important for the one who play more. I will speak to the ones that will stay out for tuse, but these are the most tough decision before the game, to leave some player out.

"In 2014 the atmosphere in the squad was really similar, but it's not easy and we saw it against Wolfsburg, we have to remain focused: we got also the second leg, but we have also tomorrow's game.

"We will try to stop De Bruyne, it's true, he's a relly good player and he showed lots of quality since he's been here; he's got also the right feeling with Aguero, but of course we will try to stop him.

"I think that tomorrow both Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema will be at 100%, they are fit.

"It's always an honour and a pride to be with Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals, to be in the best four teams in Europe

"We know that if we stay really focused every second of the game things like the ones that happened in Wolfsburg or in the first half with Rayo Vallecano cannot happen.

"Not every footballer can play in Real Madrid or Barcelona, here in the UK you got money but more than that a very exciting league, with very challenged matches, I think that players value more this than money."
