Italian Serie A trio Cagliari, Udinese and Genoa have been put on the alert after reports emerged of the plan sale of Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muniru by Romanian giants CFR Cluj.

Cluj are ready to sell the 21-year-old at the right price when the winter transfer reopens in January to enable them defray a debt that is 'swallowing the club'.

Muniru, a younger brother of AC Milan star Sulley Muntari, remains one of the most brilliant players at Cluj after establishing himself as playmaking fulcrum.

However Udinese, Cagliari and Genoa, who have maintained interest in the midfielder since he joined Cluj in 2011, must be ready to cough up a six-figure amount to sign  him.
