Under-fire Ashantigold coach Bashir Hayford set to quit this week - report

Published on: 13 March 2017

Ashantigold coach Bashir Hayford is expected to resign from the club by the close of the week, multiple reports in Ghana have claimed.

Hayford is fed up after his side lost 4-2 at home to Bechem United in a Ghana Premier League fixture on Sunday.

The former Medeama and Kotoko trainer is reported to have told associates that he's had enough and wants to move on.

Further reports claim, he will step down due to health concerns as he's recuperating from an illness.

The miners have endured a difficult start to the season as they lie 14th on the league table.

Hayford has constantly backtracked on resigning from the club since he joined.
