omoros captain Ibrahim Rachidi insists the spotlight is firmly on Ghana when the two sides meet in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Les Coelecantes host the Black Stars as underdogs for the first leg tie – despite edging Lesotho in their last encounter.

Ghana bounced back from a wretched 2014 World Cup campaign to achieve a silver-medal feat at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The four-time African champions are the overwhelming favourites against the tiny nation and captain Ibrahim Rachidi insists all the pressure will be on the West Africans.

“We’re not afraid of Ghana because all the pressure is on their players. It wouldn’t make sense for Ghana to miss out on the World Cup, or for them to be knocked out by Comoros,” he told Comoros Football 269

We’ve got nothing to lose because we’ve already made it through to the second round. We can beat Ghana because anything is possible in football.”

Concerns have been raised about the synthetic Stade Mohammed Said Cheikh pitch ahead of the tricky game.

The reverse fixture takes place in Ghana’ second largest city, Kumasi on Tuesday November 17.
