Valencia told to up bid for Boateng

Getafe have reportedly told Valencia to increase their offer for Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng.

Valencia is reported to have their initial €7 million offer the ball holding midfielder turned down.

Reports in the spanish media suggest an agreement between Getafe and FC Cologne will not favour Les Azulones should the deal fall through.

Boateng’s former club Cologne have fifty percent share in any further transfer fee of the player from Getafe.

This means Getafe are entitled to only €3.5 million.

Boateng joined Getafe in the summer transfer for €1 million.
