Former Ghana captain John Mensah insists he’s fit enough to play at the top level, setting an ambitious target of staging a return to the Black Stars.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since leaving Slovakian side Nitra last year.

The former Sunderland and Rennes strong centre-back has revealed his desire to return to the national team after a long absence and insists he’s physically fit enough to challenge the much younger defenders for a place in the team.

“I am very fit and will return to club football soon and probably Black Stars as well. I have not retired yet. Time will tell when I might finally retire. I am in talks with some clubs and we hope the best comes out of it.” he is quoted by footballmadeinghana.

Mensah has remained coy over his next destination after a move to an unnamed Indian side hit the rock.
