Veteran Ghanaian striker Mathew Amoah is expected to mark his debut for VV Baronie against VC Vlissingen this weekend.

The 35-year-old, who joined the Dutch amateur side, will play his first competitive game on Saturday.

The former Black Stars striker signed a six-month contract with the club last month to help them rise to the top tiers of the leagues in Holland.

Amoah's contract with the ambitious side will end in June which could pave the way for him for bigger offers.

The club in the lower leagues of Holland say the addition of the Ghana striker is a major boost for their ambitions.
