Ghana FA vice-president George Afriyie has vowed to help Kwesi Nyantakyi take the country’s football to the next level.

There has been mounting criticism about the quality of the local league coupled with lack of patronage conspiring to ‘kill’ the Ghanaian league

The issue of juvenile football is also a matter of huge concern with widespread claims it’s dying.

But newly-appointed Ghana FA vice-president George Afriyie is promising to help his boss to explore ways of boosting the domestic league.

‘Everybody comes in with an idea whenever the person is appointed or elected into power, I have already said that this appointment is a big Challenge and I know what it requires,’ he told UTV.

‘I will make sure I do everything possible within my power and help Nyantakyi to take Ghana football to the highest level.

‘As I said there will definitely be challenges but we will work hand-in-hand to develop the game.’

The Ghana FA has reached an agreement with top musicians to perform at match venues.
