I thought Pele’s regret was not playing at the World Cup, I was wrong.
In fact both George Weah and Roger Milla admitted Abedi’s quality as the best, but unfortunately FIFA see things in a different way. He won Africa’s best player three times in a roll, but never enjoyed any accolade from FIFA. Very sad. isn’t?

ABEDI PAVED THE WAY FOR FIFA TO CHANGE THE RULES.IN THE PROCESS MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR NON EUROPEAN CITIZENS TO ALSO GET A SHOT AT WINING THE WORLD’S BEST TROPHY. I CONSIDER MYSELF BLESSED TO HAVE WATCHED ABEDI PLAY EVEN ON TV. DR MARTIN LUTHER KING DESERVEDLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST BLACK MAN TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Abedi was unstoppable in his days.It is rude on his part though to say he took Ghana to the finals.
The mismanagement of the GFA IS THE REASON Ghana did not win anything inspite of the galaxy of stars we had at the time.
    Abedi is a legend.

I believe we would have won Senegal 92 if Abedi had played in the final. He was amazing to watch and I’m happy to have witnessed his breathtaking ability. A true worldclass player always capable of conjuring moments of brilliance at will. His performance at Senegal 92 was similar to Maradona’s 86 worldcup performance truly masterclass. If you factor in his perfomances in the then european cup he definately deserved a world best award. Truley africa’s best ever.

ABEDI DIDNT DESERVE THE 2ND YELLOW CARD IN THAT SEMI FINAL. ANOTHER PLOY BY CAF TO MAKE SURE THAT A FRENCH SPEAKING AFRICAN NATION CAN WIN THE TROPHY. HAD ABEDI PLAYED, GH WOULD HAVE WON THE TROPHY FOR SURE. EVEN WITHOUT ABEDI, WE WENT TO TO PENALTY SHOOTOUT.
