SABC Sports Analyst, Mzimasi Mgebisi has predicted that Bafana Bafana could go all the way in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and possibly meet Ghana in the finals.

Speaking on Morning Live this morning, Mgebisi said he was inspired by Bafana Bafana’s performance in the friendly match against Norway on Tuesday.

Bafana lost 1-0 to the Norwegians.

"I take a lot of positives from Tuesday. First of all, it’s rare to see a South African national team put together six to eight, nine, ten passes at a sequence.

"It’s very rare for a South African national football team to be able to dominate ball possession by 65% to 70% at a one go.

"And South Africa were very superior on Tuesday. The only problem is that they could not convert those goals."

Mgebisi believes with the upcoming friendly match against Algeria, Bafana Bafana have an opportunity to gain the much-needed confidence before they face Cape Verde in the opening match next week.

"I can promise you one thing, South Africa will do so well in this tournament. In fact, I believe we’ll play in the finals against Ghana."
