Ghana striker David Accam scored as Chicago Fire beat New England Revolution 3-1 at home in the MLS on Saturday.

The Revolution got on the board first in the 31st minute when Juan Agudelo got on the end of a Chris Tierny cross and headed it into goal for the opener.

The Men in Red pulled even in the 51st minute when Accam received a pass from Harry Shipp at midfield and dribbled all the way into the box before slotting in past Bobby Shuttleworth and the post for his team-leading tenth goal of the season.

The Fire then took the lead in the 60th minute when Lovel Palmer played the ball over the top. Shipp stripped the ball from Andrew Farrell and placed his shot past Shuttlesworth for the first Fire lead of the night.

Gilberto found the insurance goal in the 86th minute when Matthew Watson slalomed through the box and had his cross deflect to the Brazilian striker, who sent a one-time, scissor kick into the back of the net.

The Fire face their final road match of the season against D.C. United on 18 October at RFK Stadium.
