Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi delivered an address on the changes to the CAF statutes at the Extraordinary Congress Assembly in Rabat, Morocco.
The CAF 1st vice-president spoke in his capacity as chairman of the Reforms Committee of the continent's football governing body.
Nyantakyi had participated in the two-day symposium which was organized to deliberate on changes to the game in Africa.
On Thursday, the CAF Executive Committee rubber-stamped recommendations to increase the number of participating teams at the Nations Cup finals from 16 to 24.
The tournament starting 2019 will be hosted in June/July instead of January/February.
