Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have declared their intention to swoop for Burkina Faso striker Aristide Bance, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 33-yea-old, who has vast experience in international football, has emerged as a top target for the Porcupine Warriors who are augmenting their squad for Africa.

Bance is a free agent after cancelling his contract with Egyptian side Al Masry because of non-compliance with terms of his deal with the club.

He has already started talks with Ivorian side ASEC over a deal to return to his former club but Kotoko have turned his head with their interest.

The Porcupines must now move with a comfortable offer that would force Bance to reject ASEC in favour of the move to the Garden City.

Kotoko boss Dr Kyei is keen on boosting the sqaud as they are keen on a a big assault CAF Confederation Cup next year having won the FA Cup in Ghana.

Bance signed a two-year contract with Egyptian Premier League side Al-Masry in July and went on to score 15 goals in his first 6 matches for the club which include a brace on his debut.

He has appeared for Burkina Faso at three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, scoring both the team's goal and the winning kick in the penalty shootout in the Stallions' semi-final defeat of Ghana at the 2013 edition to put the nation in the final for first time in its history.

Burkina Faso went on to lose the final to Nigeria and finish as runner-up.

At the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Bancé scored Burkina Faso's goal in a 2–1 loss to Congo which saw the 2013 runner-up knocked out at the group stage.

Bance has  67 caps and 21 goals for his country and has played for 20 clubs in his career including the leagues in Ivory Coast, Belgium, Ukraine, UAE, Turkey, Finland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Egypt and South Africa.
