Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako has told fans of DR Congo giants TP Mazembe that he will help them win more laurels.

The ex-Berekum Chelsea star made the promise when he was unveiled by the four-time African champions this week.

This comes after he completed his US$400,000 move from the Ghanaian club on a five-year contract.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Congolese giants after passing a medical.

The former Ghana Under-20 star has already begun training with the Lubumbashi-based side.

The potential of the exciting former Heart of Lions pocket size midfielder has never been in doubt since he emerged on the local scene and his departure will be a massive blow to Chelsea fans.

He was a member of the Ghana’s Under-20 team that clinched Africa’s first ever gold medal at the 2009 World Youth Championship held in Egypt.
