Michael Essien is recapturing his old with Panathinaikos

A tremendous Michael Essien pass with the outside of his foot from 40 metres has become the subject of discussion in the Greek league, putting to rest the debate about the former Chelsea star's football class.

The Ghana superstar unleashed an amazing long range pass during his side Panathinaikos' clash with Asteras Tripolis which has been widely hailed in Greece.

Essien has not been able to stamp his authority in the Greek league since moving there from Italian giants AC Milan in the summer mainly because of his absence due to injuries which brought some criticism.

He has now recovered from the injuries and he is recapturing his old form so no one can dispute his football class.

The Ghanaian ace of Panathinaikos sent a lovely ball with the outside his foot from 40 meters to Nikos Kaltsa but the striker failed to capitalize, smashing the ball into the goalkeeper.
