Banahene, 27, halved the deficit for Ismaily at the Petro Sport Stadium on 18 minutes after the visitors had taken to a 2-0 lead in the opening 12 minutes of the clash.
The former Karsiyaka striker breathed live into the game for Ismaily, as he found Islam Gamal’s cross to head the ball into Ekramy’s net to register his 8th goal of the season.
Ahly have added the 2015/16 Premier League to their trophy haul increasing their title numbers to 38.
