Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor has brushed aside agitations from the fans to have Laryea Kingston return to the team.

The call to have the suspended midfielder reinstated immediately was vaguely manifested after the Phobians slumped to a shocking 2-1 loss at home to All Stars.

The defeat on Wednesday was the second loss on the bounce for Hearts who have now picked just four points out of a possible twelve.

Hearts disjointed play at times and inability to create enough goalscoring opportunities before their home fans in the All Stars’ loss has seen the supporters crave to have the talented Kingston back into an overdrive.

But Akunnor appears determined to instill discipline in the side but says he understands the call being made by the fans.

“When we won 5-2 no one was asking for that but it is normal,” he said in his post-match reaction.

“We have to understand the fans, they want to see us win and if we don’t win, these kind of things will come up either it is the right time or not.

“But I understand they way they feel and I will be on behalf of the players to apologize to the fans but they must be patient.

“Time is running out but we will work very hard to get back on track.”

Kingston, 31, is currently on indefinite suspension for flouting camping rules and for showing dissent towards Akunnor during pre-season.
