Vilarrubi convinced Guardiola will not take Busquets from Barcelona to Man City

Barcelona vice-president is adamant new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will not be able to lure Barcelona's star players to the Premier League when he commences his tenure in England next season.

Guardiola spent four seasons at the Nou Camp and built strong relationships with a number of the clubs players during his time in Spain.

Catalans midfielder Sergio Busquets recently told media that Guardiola is only one of two people who could convince him to leave Barcelona, with the 27-year-old's wife being the other.

However, Vilarrubi is confident Busquets nor any other Barcelona players will be swapping the Nou Camp for Etihad Stadium this summer.

"We are convinced that Sergio will wear the shirt of Barcelona for many years," Vilarrubi told Radio Catalunya.

"Also [Marc-Andre] Ter Stegen, Neymar…They are the first to enjoy Barcelona and they show on the pitch their desire to wear the shirt.

"Fans can sleep at ease with the possibility that Guardiola will take any players; they are very committed."
