Vincent Adams powers Awutu Community to win 2017 Power2DoMore Football Gala

An inspirational performance from Adams Vincent powered Awutu Community to lift the 2017 Power2DoMore Football Gala organised by Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, and Deputy Minister of Communication Hon. George Andah, with a solitary win over Bodwease Community.

The game which ended goalless before the break was separated by a clever goal scored by the hardworking attacker with ten minutes to end the game.

Adams, 19, swivelled his way through the defenders of Bodwease and slotted home a beautiful goal that forced all to be on their feet.

The football gala which is part of activities to commemorate the Senya Akomaese Sports Festival saw the champions Awutu Community taking home a giant trophy, two cartons of Vitamilk, two boxes of Richoco and an undisclosed amount of money as their prize.

The 1st runner up, Bodwease Community took home an undisclosed amount of money, boxes of Richoco and a carton of Vitamilk.

Adams, lone goal scorer for Awutu Community also emerged as the best player of the gala while goalkeeper Abednego Amoah, also of Awutu Community emerged the best goalkeeper with Eric Baah winning the goal king award with 7 goals.

Speaking at the event, the Hon. Deputy Minister of Communication, Hon. George Andah called for unity amongst member of the various Awutu Senya communities and assured them of government's support in facilitating their development.

He congratulated the champions after the Vice Chairman of the Division One League Board, Mr. Akwasi Agyemang handed over the giant trophy to them and encouraged the losing side to train hard to win the trophy next year.
