Hearts of Oak new signing Vincent Atingah has reveals he turned down a move to join Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.

The highly rated centre-back signed a three-year deal with the former African champions from relegated Ebusua Dwarfs.

Atingah was signed to replace Nuru Sulley who was sold to a Libyan club and has formed formidable partnership with Ivorian Robin Gnagne.

He says he snubbed a lucrative deal from Kotoko to sign for Hearts.

“I was approached by several clubs including Kotoko but I have always wanted to be with Hearts of oak,” Atingah told GHANASoccernet.com

“The challenge is exciting and I am confident that we will have a solid season ahead.”
