Vitale: EXCLUSIVE - Liverpool, Leicester on Paredes; Spalletti to Arsenal; Deulofeu Serie A star

Published on: 17 February 2017

I can tell you Roma are in talks to sell Leandro Paredes to the Premier League.

Paredes is one of the most interesting players in Serie A. He has a great passing range, great skills and vision. In the last Roma game he gave an impressive ball to Mohamed Salah, in the action that brought Edin Dzeko his 25th goal of the season. Sometimes he appears to be slow, Luciano Spalletti said that he should move the ball quickly.

Many clubs are interested in him: in Serie AJuventus is keen on him, but Liverpool and Leicester City like him too. Probably at the end of the season he will leave Roma, for a fee around €25-30m (this will depend on how Roma end the season).

Roma will replace him with Lorenzo Pellegrini (from Sassuolo) and probably Franck Kessie (from Atalanta).

SPALLETTI TO ARSENAL?

There's been some rumours about Roma coach Luciano Spalletti and Arsenal.

But Spalletti isn't thinking about a new club. He's only interested in finishing in the best way this season: he is obsessed with winning a title, he's said this.

I think he will renew with Roma, but James Pallotta, the president, needs to do something for the growth of Roma, like offering new contracts to the top players of the team (last week Spalletti asked publicly new contracts for De Rossi, Manolas and Strootman).

The news about Arsenal hasn't reached Rome, but obviously this could be a possibility. Spalletti is a great coach and probably an extraordinary manager. In AS Roma he took the situation in his hands, like a good manager should. He probably needs reassurances about the future of the club. His love for AS Roma is not in question.

Luckily for Roma's sake, he is arguably the most interested one in Trigoria.

NAINGGOLAN CHALLENGES JUVE BIAS MEDIA

After Radja Nainggolan declared he "hated Juventus", the Roma fans love him even more, if that's possible! Honestly, I don't know why it has been so controversial. He simply gave his opinion about Juventus.

In Italy, the media are "Juventus-ized": Many journalists think that Juventus is THE Italian team, for which all Italians fans have to show respect or something similar and many journalists say that Nainggolan should have apologised for those words.

I think that's crazy. It is absolutely legal to express dislike, disappointment and such. I am pretty sure he wasn't wrong...

DEULOFEU FLYING FOR AC MILAN

Gerard Deulofeu, on-loan at AC Milan from Everton, has had a brilliant impact in Serie A! He has already made an assist.

He came to Italy in very good athletic condition, despite all the rumors about him, and Vincenzo Montella's schemes seem to fit him. Milan's coach has tried him on the left and as a "falso nueve". He played well in both positions.

A great signing by Milan, he will do great things from now until the end of the season.

INTER PROTECTING PINAMONTI

In Italy, Andrea Pinamonti is considered a player with a bright future. He is only a 1999, but he has already made his debut with Inter Milan, in Serie A and Europa League.

He seems physically strong, moreover has skills and a strong personality (and this is very important for a young player). Stefano Pioli seems to trust him, but Mauro Icardi is untouchable, so he has to wait his turn.

He has been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham, but I don't think Inter risks losing him, at least at the moment.
