Wa All Stars skipper Hafiz Adams scared by club’s position on league log
Wa All Stars won the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.

Skipper of defending Ghana Premier League champions Wa All Stars Hafiz Adams says he is scared by the position of the club on the league log with ten matches to end the season.

The reigning title holders are 12th on the league table, two spots away from the relegation zone and four points away from the drop.

And the inspirational skipper who has led the club to their first ever title is traumatized by their position.

“I just can’t imagine Wa All Stars languishing around such areas. We are far better than our position but that is what we’ve played for,” he told the press.

“Sometimes I have nightmares when I think of our position. A whole defending champion threading around such areas is too bad for our image.

“It haunts me personally and I am sure my colleagues will suffer similar feat as well.

“We have to take responsibility and at least get a top half finish with some impressive wins.

“It is as simple as that since our image is at stake”, he added.

The troubled defending champions have sacked their coach Enus Adepa over non-performance.

Wa All Stars will be the first team in the history of the Ghana Premier League to be relegated as defending champions.
