WAFA assistant coach Akakpo Patron believes the one-month break will affect the competitive nature of Ghana Premier League.

''With just some few matches to go, I believe the one-month break is too much and it will take away the excitement but once the FA has its program, we have nothing to say and must comply,'' Patron told footballmadeinghana.com

''The national team assignments supersedes the league games but I believe there should be proper way of doing things especially at a time the league is getting to an end and clubs are struggling to avoid relegation.''

The Premier League Board decided to put the top-flight on hold to allow the Black Stars B prepare for next month's 2018 CHAN qualifiers against Burkina Faso.

It will also allow WAFA and Asante Kotoko to clear their outstanding matches.
