Wakaso makes La Liga bow with Villarreal

Ghana youth international Wakaso Mubarak made his Spanish La Liga debut on Sunday evening for Villarreal.

He came on as a second half substitute for José Manuel Catalá in Villarreal's impressive come-from-behind performance to snatch a point at Racing Santander.

Wakaso came into the game when the Yellow Submarines were down 2-1 and immediately made impact.

His square passes and tackles proved vital and helped Villarreal to take control of the game in midfield.

The 21-year-old was given a senior team squad number at Villarreal when he impressed on his debut for the Villarreal team B.

GP Mario snatched the equaliser on the 90th minute for the visitors.

The 21-year old joined Villarreal B after he was booted out by rivals Elche over disciplinary issues.
