Celtic new boy Mubarak Wakaso might need to brush up on his detective skills…after posting this bizarre tribute to ÂSherlock Holmes.
The image of Wakaso in the detective’s distinctive outfit was originally posted as an in-joke on a fans’ website.
But the Ghanian winger thought the deerstalker and pipe was the chosen look for Hoops fans.
He posted the photoshopped image on his Instagram account, saying: “New life with new Âtradition...the great fans of Celtic did this special picture of me is their traditional wear. Great great great to be part of the family of Glasgow Celtic.â€
One fan said: “The image was done for a bit of a laugh by posters on a fan site.
“But it looks like Wakaso expects everyone to be decked out like Sherlock Holmes at Celtic Park. He is in for a bit of a surprise.
“But the fans loved it when he posted the picture.â€
Social media fan Wakaso, 24, also posted a photoshopped picture of himself in the Hoops ahead of completing a loan deal from Russian side Rubin Kazan last week.
He hopes the switch will eventually become permanent.
The winger became manager Ronny Deila’s fifth signing to the club.
But his move to Celtic represents a a new start after he was left devastated by the death of his baby boy in January.
His four-month old son became ill while visiting family back home in Ghana. His agent was not available for comment.
