West Brom are currently bottom of the Premier League.

Chairman John Williams and chief executive Martin Goodman have been sacked by West Brom, the club have announced.

The pair have been given notice of termination of their contracts and placed on gardening leave with immediate effect.

Albion are making changes due to their struggles in the Premier League with the Baggies seven points from the safety line after Monday's 3-0 defeat at Chelsea.

"We would like to thank John and Martin for all their efforts since their appointments and wish them well for the future," a club spokesperson said.

It was also confirmed Mark Jenkins, who was previously CEO of the football club for 14 years, would return.

He said: "There is much to do but for now the focus must solely be on the remaining games of this season."
