We lost to a better side - Hearts coach Duncan

Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan

Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan admits his side lost to a better team on Sunday.

The Phobians suffered their second successive loss when they were downed 2-0 at Heart of Lions.

Hearts have been coasting steadily since the arrival of Duncan who replaced CK Akunnor who was dismissed after a string of poor results.

But the former African champions appear to have relapsed into their poor form with now two back-to-back defeats.

But coach Duncan accepts his side’s performance on Sunday was not good enough for a win.

“In the first place this is football and Heart of Lions are a good side,” he said.

“So we take the result in good faith and we’ll keep working hard.”

Hearts are currently 12th in the Ghanaian top flight haven garnered just 12 points after eleven games.

  2. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

DUNCAN IS A PRIMITIVE COACH WHO MAKES EMOTIONAL, NONSENSIBLE DECISIONS. HE PLAYS LEFT FOOTED PLAYERS ON THE RIGHT N VICE VERSA. FOOL, R U GOD?

“We observed in recent Black Stars matches that left-footed players always play on the right flank,” MAX KONADU told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

  3. quophai says:

This man was hailed as a messiah by many Phobians because he managed a draw with Kotoko. He even lashed out at the Kotoko gaffer for having no plan b. He who has a plan b has lost 2 consecutive matches and the one who lacks it is still unbeaten. Its his loud mouth that gives him away sometimes. He is a coach of plenty fine talk. The usual modern coach who covers his ineptitude and inefficiencies with fine grammar and tactical jargons. Please walk the talk…

C K Akunnor can now sleep well. He was not the problem after all .

  5. Bengin says:

Lets b patient 4 duncan coz de media r de same pple who will critizes him n praise him buh Duncan shd pllllssssss use Sadat karim 4 us…..we still suport u

  6. KT says:

Quophai and the rest, you and I know its not a a coaching problem. The players are that bad. I believe in as much as CK was not the best of coaches, he was not the problem. Recruitment has been awful. The migration/transition from the old to a new form of ownership and control is having a toll on the club. But it will lead to some good soon.

  7. Edwin k says:

Although Ck. could have been given some time, he was to be blamed for not buying the right crop of players
