Head of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Joe Kpenge has told the Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Asiamah to Electricity restore at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Accra Sports Stadium has seen power cuts because of the huge debt owed the Electricity Company of Ghana.

According to Joe Kpenge the National Sports Authority owes ECG over a million Ghana Cedis.

He was speaking when the minister and his team took a tour at the sports stadium on Tuesday.

“Close to a year now and we have not had electricity and that has been a problem. In Accra alone we owe close to a million Ghana Cedis. I think it’s a problem we share so we need electricity restored,” he said.

Joe Kpenge indicated there have been consistent calls for support but to no avail.

“We have told even your predecessors, our neighbors the national security, we have told almost everybody. Even the Chief of Staff but help doesn’t seem to be coming,” he added.
