Ghana ace Yahaya Mohammed says his teammates are determined to win the third edition of the CHAN tournament which is underway in South Africa.
The versatile Asante Kotoko player is expected to be key for the local Black Stars at the tournament.
Mohammed, who can play in defence, midfield and attack, will be Ghana’s livewire.
“We are looking forward to the tournament. It is going to be a tough one,” Mohammed said.
“It is a new year with new challenges so we just want to write our own history as the class of 2014 and go all the way to the final and win because we are Ghana and whenever we are in competition much is expected of us so we will do all we can to win the tournament.”
Ghana will play their first Group C match on Monday against Congo Brazzaville at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
